Clay for Cats: Art with Purpose

One example of our commitment to community engagement is Clay for Cats, a collaborative fundraiser bringing together ceramic artists, local businesses, and animal rescue organizations.

Through exhibitions, auctions, and community events, ceramic artists create cat-inspired pottery that helps raise funds and awareness for local rescue efforts.

Projects like these demonstrate how ceramics can be a powerful tool for bringing people together around a shared cause.

Why Pottery Matters

Pottery and ceramics offer something increasingly rare in today's fast-paced world: the opportunity to slow down, work with your hands, and connect with others.

Working with clay encourages:

  • Creativity

  • Mindfulness

  • Problem solving

  • Community building

  • Personal growth

For many students, pottery becomes more than a hobby, it becomes a meaningful part of their lives.
