Participants will explore both wheel throwing and handbuilding, learning to navigate each technique separately or in combination based on their skill level, class dynamics, and personal creative direction.

What's Included:

• A personal shelf to safely store projects as they dry and move through the firing process

Children will glaze their work throughout the semester whenever pieces are ready. Because pottery must dry completely and be fired before glazing, some pieces may not be ready for glazing until final final class.

This week-long ceramic summer camp students explore nature-inspired projects using wheel and handbuilding plus techniques like inlay and monoprinting, create 3–5 one-of-a-kind pieces, and are guided to develop their own point of view and confidence—clay, glazes, materials, and firing are included.

The program concludes with a group exhibit at the studio market within Two weeks of the last session.

Explore the art of wheel throwing and enjoy an immersive, hands-on experience.

You can use as much clay as you'd like and keep 1 FREE piece. If you would like to keep extra pieces, an additional fee of 0.05 per cubic inch/cm, for extra piece they choose to add.

They can choose from a selection of studio dipping glazes for your piece(s). The studio will prepare, glaze, and fire their pieces, which will be ready for pickup .

FEE $70 1.5 hrs.

Ages 13 - 18

Unleash Your Teen’s Creativity with an Unforgettable Pottery Experience!

Our friendly, expert instructors will guide your teen through every step, making it fun and easy to shape and mold clay into unique creations.

Each class includes 1 FREE piece. Want to create more? Additional pieces can be fired for just $0.05 per cubic inch (or cm).

They can choose from a selection of underglazes to paint their work. The studio will fire their work, which will be ready for pick up.
