One Time Classes
Wheel Throwing
Hand-Building
Our one-time classes offer a fun introduction to working with clay — no experience required! Each 1.5-hour session includes:
Basic instruction and guidance
Use of all necessary tools
As much clay as you’d like to use
When wheel throwing, you’ll work with 1.5 lbs of clay and may keep one piece for free. If you’d like to keep additional pieces, each is $10.
Once your piece is complete, you’ll choose your dipping glaze, and our team will glaze and fire your work for you.
You’ll receive an email within 4 weeks or less with a schedule to pick up your finished piece.
Each class concludes with a 15-minute cleanup period, and we kindly ask that all students participate.
Please note: Finished work will be held for 4 weeks after you receive your email notification. Unclaimed pieces will be donated.
Semester Courses
It is not required to have taken a One Time Wheel session before enrolling. All beginners and intermediate students are encouraged to join a semester course to fully immerse themselves in the foundations of wheel throwing.
We offer two levels of wheel throwing:
Beginner Level I
Beginner Level II
& Beginner Level Hand Building
Each class meets once a week for 2 hours, over a 6-week session.

SEMESTER WHEEL CLASS LEVEL I
FEE $325 FOR 6 WEEKS 2 hrs PER CLASS
This class covers the fundamentals of wheel throwing — perfect for beginners!
Students will learn to create simple, open vessels on the wheel while developing essential techniques such as positioning, centering, opening, pulling, and trimming. Those who progress quickly may have the opportunity to explore adding handles and other functional details to their pieces.
All students will also learn best practices for glazing and will glaze their own work during the final session.
Includes 12.5 lbs of clay, about 35 hours per week of open studio time, dipping glazes, underglazes, slips, personal tool and clay storage, plus extra space for projects.
Not included: Please bring your own tools, towel, and apron.
Tool kits are sold for $20.

SEMESTER WHEEL CLASS LEVEL II
FEE $325 FOR 6 WEEKS 2 hrs PER CLASS
Wheel Throwing – Level II
This class is designed for beginners who already have some experience with wheel throwing and are ready to expand their skills.
Students will refine their centering and pulling techniques while learning to shape beyond the cylinder.
You’ll also expand upon glazing fundamentals, experimenting with new techniques to achieve unique and dynamic surface effects on your pottery.
This class is suitable for students who have completed at least one Beginner (Level I)
Includes 12.5 lbs of clay, about 35 hours per week of open studio time, dipping glazes, underglazes, slips, personal tool and clay storage, plus extra space for projects.
Not included: Please bring your own tools, towel, and apron.
Tool kits are sold for $20.
Firing costs $0.05 per cubic inch (for both bisque and glaze firings).
You can buy extra clay, including porcelain. -
SEMESTER HAND BUILDING CLASS
FEE $305 FOR 6 WEEKS 2 hrs. PER CLASS
Hands on instructions for hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling, slab-building, and carving — as well as assisting students in developing projects of their own.
Decorating projects may include sgraffito using underglazes, transfer stamps, other decorative tools, and studio dipping glazes.
Includes 12.5 lbs of clay, about 35 hours per week of open studio time, dipping glazes, underglazes, slips, personal tool and clay storage, plus extra space for projects.
Not included: Please bring your own tools, towel, and apron.
Tool kits are sold for $20.

Join us for a relaxed, off-peak pottery experience where everything is included: full instruction, tools, and as much clay as you’d like to use.
Your first piece is FREE to keep, and additional pieces are just $10 each. Once you’ve chosen your favorite piece, you’ll also get to pick a glaze color, and we’ll handle the glazing and firing.
All you need to bring is your enthusiasm!
